Vingilótë is built out of e-glass, epoxy, and foam. She is not an all carbon fiber construction: she’s not a race boat. She is meant to be a balance of safety, including the active safety of speed under sail and on engines, and comfort. She has however a fair bit of carbon fiber used in her construction at places where the extra structural strength at the same weight or the same structural strength at a lower weight is worth it.
