Vingilótë’s Code Zero

Vingilótë has a very simple sail plan. She has a self-tacking blade jib, a screecher, and a mainsail. They are tri-radial cut from a light-gray Wharpdrive, a lighter weight fabric that yet is durable for cruising.

She has a very powerful sail plan. Her mainsail is a square top (no-headboard, but batten at the top), fat roach, battened mainsail, over 1,200 square feet. Her self-tacking blade jib is 461 square feet. Her screecher was oversized, and shaped and essentially turned into a code zero (pictured above, with the Tengwar writing of her Quenya name in blood red printed on the sail).
